On October 28th, a Shipment Ceremony for AstraZeneca Singapore Operations’ Modular Project was held at the Pharmadule Morimatsu Suzhou manufacturing site. A batch of advanced modular pharmaceutical manufacturing modules officially began its journey to AstraZeneca’s Tuas South manufacturing site in Singapore, marking the transition of the project from the manufacturing phase to the on-site construction phase.

Pharmadule Morimatsu is responsible for the design and construction of the antibody drug conjugate (ADC) conjugation building, a core component of AstraZeneca’s Singapore Operations facility. Throughout project execution, the team successfully addressed multiple challenges, including the project's large scale, tight schedule, stringent quality requirements, high expectation of modular integration, complex international stakeholder coordination, and demanding logistics constraints. Leveraging its extensive expertise in modular engineering, Pharmadule Morimatsu coordinated critical project phases, including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, commissioning, and international logistics, while maintaining close collaboration with AstraZeneca through an efficient project governance framework that enabled seamless cross-functional and cross-regional teamwork.
Supported by a mature project management system and extensive international project delivery experience, the team executed the project in accordance with AstraZeneca's global engineering and quality standards. Through a carefully planned phased shipping strategy, module deliveries were precisely aligned with the site's lifting and installation schedule, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted onsite execution. This approach not only mitigated transportation constraints associated with large-scale modules but also maximized the benefits of offsite fabrication, significantly reducing onsite construction activities while improving overall project efficiency, quality control, and delivery certainty.
From the commencement of module fabrication to the completion of Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), the project achieved this key shipment milestone in less than six months. This accomplishment demonstrates Pharmadule Morimatsu's comprehensive execution capabilities in delivering large-scale international biopharmaceutical projects and provides a solid foundation for the subsequent site construction phase and the rapid realization of future production capacity.
